Spicy German Bratwurst

 

This recipe can be cooked in a crock pot on low setting for 3-4 hours! Super easy and delicious!

 

 

2 – 12 oz. packages Topline Foods All Natural Bratwurst

1 (12 oz.) bottle lager beer

1/2 cup chili sauce

1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

1/2 cup ketchup

1/2 cup cider vinegar

1/2 cup lightly packed brown sugar

1 tsp. paprika

1 tsp. ground nutmeg

2 medium onions, cut into 1/4 inch slices

1 lb. potatoes (either cut into 1/2 inch thick slices or cubes, small red potatoes can be left whole, too)

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions:

Layer bratwurst, potatoes and onions in a large pot. Combine all other ingredients and pour over. Bring to a simmer and cook covered for about 2 hours until potatoes and onions are tender and bratwurst have absorbed the flavors of the sauce. Enjoy with dark bread for sopping up the sauce!
