Grass Fed Beef, Butternut Squash and Bean Chilli

 

Easy, clean slow cooker grass fed top sirloin beef chilli recipe

1 lb of Topline Foods grass fed beef top sirloin, cubed

1 yellow onion, chopped

4 cloves of garlic, minced

2 – 28oz cans of fire roasted tomatoes (juice included)

1/2 can low sodium black beans, rinsed

1/2 can low sodium garbanzo beans, rinsed

4 cups of butternut squash, cubed

1 tbsp ground cumin

1 tbsp dried oregano

1 bay leaf

1/2 tsp of ground pepper

1/8 tsp of sea salt

1 tbsp chilli powder

1/8 tsp cayenne pepper

2 cups of organic low sodium beef broth or water

Add all vegetables and beans on the bottom of slow cooker. Add grass fed beef, spices, seasonings and water. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. Stir when done, adjust the seasonings to taste and enjoy.

This recipe yields 8 servings and is ready in 8 hours on low. You’ve got your bases covered with this chilli, fiber and vitamin B (squash), lean protein (sirloin) and of course a powerful hunger fighting combination on fiber and protein (beans). Who said comfort food can’t be healthy!
