1. Take it Slowly:


Going all out to follow a strict diet and exercise regime can only do so much good if you burn out your will power and quit a few months later. You don’t have to be a master chef; there are plenty of simple meals that you can make in under twenty minutes, with maybe 15 minutes of your actual attention required( try Turkey Lettuce Wraps, Wild Caught Salmon with Quinoa and Spinach, or Organic Beef, Butternut Squash and Bean Chilli). Even making yourself a sandwich with high quality deli meats can be a big improvement over a trip to Subway, especially if you’re concerned about your heart health and sodium intake. You may find you really enjoy taking a few minutes out of your busy schedule to relax and focus on making something delicious, and once you get into the habit, you could expand to other days of the week, or start making extra so you’ll have leftovers.

If you’re starting a Paleo Diet, you don’t necessarily have to throw out everything with dairy or grains straight away; test the waters first and come up with a plan. Acquire a taste for vegetables, find your favorite fruits, discover which wild-caught seafoods and lean, grass-fed meats are your favorites, and how you like to prepare them. Replace snacks and meals gradually with Paleo Diet approved alternatives; eventually you’ll be eating for maximum nutrition while hardly noticing you’ve given anything up.
