Clean, whole foods vs. processed foods
The less processed our food the better! And really, the only way to control the amount and kinds of fat and sodium in our food is to cook at home with clean, whole foods like Topline Foods’ organic grass fed meats, wild caught seafood and organic produce.

Tips for adding flavor without the sodium or fat:
- Cook with no or low sodium chicken, beef or vegetable stocks (organic preferred!). Anytime a recipe calls for added water, use stock to bump up the flavor and not the sodium.
- Add fresh or dried herbs instead of salt for flavor. Remember, the ratio for using fresh herbs to dry herbs is 3:1. So, if a recipe calls for 1 tablespoon of dried herbs use 3 tablespoon of fresh.
- A squeeze of lemon or lime on seafood really adds a kick without the sodium or fat.
- Saute vegetables in no or low sodium chicken, beef or vegetable stocks (organic preferred!) instead of fats.
