CrossFit members often enjoy the Paleo Diet lifestyle – but where can you get the organic grass fed meats you want?

Shopping online for home delivery of high quality lean proteins is convenient and saves both money and time. We hear from customers every day how disappointing it is to drive miles to an organic foods grocer only to find their selection of grass fed beef or organic chicken is lacking. We offer many different cuts of grass fed beef including steaks, roasts and ground meat, antibiotic free and organic chicken, wild caught seafood and more. We even have Paleo Diet Approved and Paleo Snacks categories. You’ll never get bored eating the same thing meal after meal. Plus, you don’t have to buy half a cow – just select the cuts you enjoy in the quantities you need and we’ll ship to your door!

Why does CrossFit and Paleo go so well together?

Many CrossFit gyms include nutrition information with their member training. We support and supply many CrossFit and other fitness facilities with our foods. Some of the many reasons that grass fed beef and other well raised meats are recommended is because they are more nutritious with no antibiotics, added hormones/steroids and no additives – just clean whole foods!  Because the animals are raised eating their natural diet of grasses, their meat contains more of the healthful Omega3 Fatty Acids and fewer of the “bad” Omega6s, are higher in CLAs and many other nutrients. There are also many fewer bacteria present in the meat, especially antibiotic resistant bacteria. You can learn more here about the many reasons grass fed meat is better for you and your Paleo lifestyle.

Is it hard to get Paleo meals on the table?

Not at all. Our items are vacuum sealed so when it is time to start dinner, you can select the quantity of protein you will need and simply quick thaw in a clean sink of cold water. Most steaks, chicken breasts and seafood only take 10-15 minutes to thaw. For larger items like roasts and ground beef, it is recommended to thaw in the refrigerator overnight.

As for cooking, there are many resources with quick and simple meal ideas and recipes. One you might enjoy, is Chow Stalker. They are adding recipes every day and you can search by many different dietary requirements, including Paleo, 21DSD, and Whole30. We also have some great recipes here on our blog with step by step instructions and details to help you try new recipes.

It takes less than 30 minutes to roast a piece of chicken or seafood and steam some veggies, including thaw time. Our chicken breasts and any of our seafood can be placed on a sheet pan, seasoned to your liking (chili powder, salt and pepper is a favorite), then roasted in the oven at 350 for about 20 minutes for chicken and about 12 minutes for seafood, depending on the thickness. Spice it up by keeping a variety of dried seasonings on hand to change up the flavors from meal to meal. If you prefer roasted vegetables, you can cut up whatever is in your crisper, layer on a second sheet pan, toss with oil, salt and pepper or other dried seasoning- maybe a drizzle of your favorite balsamic vinegar, and put them in the oven at the same time your chicken or seafood is roasting.

Our many grass fed steaks can be cooked on the stovetop in a heavy bottomed pan,  under the broiler, or, our favorite, on the grill. Because our cattle is free to roam about, their muscles are more developed than those confined to a feedlot. This can lead to a bit more toughness than a corn/grain fed steak,  but the increased flavor and “beefiness” make for a much more enjoyable steak. If this toughness is a problem for you, you can thaw your steaks the night before and then marinate them overnight in a mixture of oil, vinegar or citrus juice and any dried herbs or seasonings you like. This will increase tenderness. Just be sure to pat them dry and then rub with oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper before cooking.

Our CrossFit and Paleo Diet customers agree that shopping online for all their grass fed meats makes eating healthy and staying fit easier and more convenient leaving them more time to do the things they love. So get nature’s finest meats delivered to your door today.
